This is a face sculpture in a piece of Sika Deer antler. It can be used as an ornament, wall hanging or hang from your rear-view-mirror. This piece is hand carved by me, Josh Carte. It will make a perfect gift for you, him or her.
This carving measures 4 3/4" tall, 4" wide and 1/2" thick...
I made this spirit carving in a piece of Sika Deer antler. The antler is a natural shed, so no animals were harmed in the making of this piece.
I have attached a hanger on the top of this guy's head. All you need to do is add a piece of string to hang him. He will look great on any tree, wall or hanging in your car.

There is no paint, stain or dye at all on this piece. This is completely natural bone.
Everything in my shop is made by hand, by me, Josh Carte. I don't have any elves or helpers, so when you buy from me you are helping to support an artist and his family- not a big box store :). I sign and date the back of all of my Bone Head ornaments. I also include the name of the sculpture.
I carve using rotary hand tools (very similar to the tools of a dentist). There is a hand piece, a flexible shaft and a foot pedal, all powered by a hanging motor that assist me in bringing my visions to life.

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
