"Cosmic Moon"
I created this piece in Sycamore burl. This is quite a large slab of burl. I set out to carve a Man-in-the-Moon, and the rest just evolved :)
I used various hand tools and grinders to shape this piece of wood. Some of the bits I used were as thin as needles. I spray painted the planets, and used just a bit of oil paint on the moon man.
This is a wall-hanging carving. The back is signed, dated, and notched for easy hanging.
I include a certificate with all of my Wood Spirits.

Custom and personalized orders
Yes, I sometimes take custom orders :) Contact me and we can discuss the specifics.
I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
