This owl wood carving makes a wonderful wood gift. It is a very unique, handmade woodworking. The back can be personalized if you'd like.
I hand carved this little owl in a piece of Box Elder wood. This wood is very dry and stable, so this piece will last a lifetime.
This carving measures 15" tall, 9" wide and 2 1/2" thick.
This carving will stand on its own or it can be hung. It will have a hanger attached when you receive it. I include my signature on the back.
I used several different burrs and cutters in my Foredom hand piece to create this carving. The chips were flying while I was making this owl. Once I finished the shaping, I sealed this piece with spray urethane. Once the urethane was dry, I went in with oil paints to bring this little owl to life.
I really love this piece!

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
