This is a wood walking stick with a hand carved wood spirit. This staff makes a great gift to him, her or oneself.

I hand carved the wood spirit in this walking stick in a piece of Musclewood. This wood is perfect for walking sticks. It is extremely hard, solid and sound. I love the light color of this wood. It is great for finishing!
I carved Snarls using various hand tools and grinders. I use different bits in my rotary carving tool to achieve different levels of detail. The smallest bits that I use are are as small as needles. I sealed this carving with 3 coats of spray urethane, so it is well protected. I added just a tad of oil paint to accentuate my cuts.

I include a certificate with all of my wood spirit and wood walking stick carvings. It just tells a little bit about me and adds provenance to the work.
I have attached a rubber tip to the end of this stick. This helps to protect the stick and the surface that it touches.
I carved this fella' using tools similar to those of a dentist. There is a hand piece, foot pedal and hanging motor that I use with various cutters to create all of my sculptures. I like to add just a tad of oil paint to accentuate my cuts. This carving is finished with 3 coats of spray polyurethane.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
