This is a chainsaw carving of a tree. It is hand carved in a piece of Cedar. It will make a great wood gift for a birthday or anniversary.
This is a hand carved woodworking made here in Ohio by me, Josh Carte. This lovely tree will make a great birthday or anniversary gift. It is a very unique wood sculpture. It looks great on your porch, in your yard, on your desk...It even looks great out amongst real trees.
This tree measures 10" tall, 6 1/8" wide and 5 1/2" deep. It weighs around 1 1/2 pounds.
I made this tree wood carving from a single piece of Cedar. Oh, what a lovely smell :) I began with a plain piece of a Cedar log and I shaped it into this wonderful tree using a chainsaw as my primary carving tool. When I finished with the chainsaw, I used a carbide bit in my Foredom (like a Dremel) and refined the overall appearance of this wonderful tree.
I haven't applied any sealer to this carving. I don't want to disguise the fragrance at all.

This tree is very, very detailed. It is quite tough not to cut the tree entirely in half :) My forearms really burn when I'm finished with a tree like this!

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
