This is a walking stick that I hand carved in a piece of Ironwood. It will make a perfect wood gift for him, her or oneself. This is a one-of-a-kind carving. There will never be another just like this one.

I made this carving as more of a symbolic reference to each of our individual struggles, rather than a literal interpretation of an old man and a monster. You look at it however you like :)

I include a certificate with all of my wood spirit and wood walking stick carvings. It just tells a little bit about me and adds some provenance to the work.
I have attached a rubber tip to the end of this stick. This helps to protect the stick and the surface that it touches.
I carved this fella' using tools similar to those of a dentist. There is a hand piece, foot pedal and hanging motor that I use with various cutters to create all of my sculptures. I like to add just a tad of oil paint to accentuate my cuts. This carving is finished with 3 coats of spray polyurethane.

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
