Topping off the scales at a whopping 2 1/2 pounds, this big guy might just scare you out of your skin. Or, he’ll make you smile because he’s so cute.

This is a chainsaw carving of a bear. I made this carving in a piece of dry, White Pine. I began with a small log, and used a chainsaw to shape up this bear. I finished with a couple of hand tools, spray polyurethane, and some spray paint.

I carve everyday. It’s what I love :) I put a lot of love into this little bear. He has great character, and he will last a lifetime. This carving should be indoors or on a porch. If you decide to put him outside, make sure you keep him out of the dirt and seal him with an exterior sealer.

Yes, I sometimes take custom orders :) Contact me and we can discuss the specifics.
I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.
I know that, as a customer, you expect a certain level of control over the custom process and I, as an artist, expect a certain level of freedom. When we are able to meet in the middle, beautiful things can happen :)
Don't be afraid to message me :) Thanks so much!
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
