I made this wizard from 2 separate pieces of dry, White Pine. I did the majority of this guy’s work using a chainsaw. I also used a few hand tools to refine the details, and also a bit of paint and polyurethane sealer.

22” tall, 8 1/4” wide, 8 1/4” deep.. This wizard is around 2/3 life size.
This is a free-standing sculpture. I have signed and dated the bottom.
I took a different approach in creating this sculpture. I wanted it to be a little looser, more impressionistic. I used a lot of blues, reds and purples in the paint finish. The hairs aren’t quite as detailed as some of my work, but still appear as hair. I believe this approach may be a bit more difficult to achieve, but I’m very happy with how this wizard turned out.

Yes, I sometimes take custom orders :) Contact me and we can discuss the specifics.
I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
