Kiln dried Pine..
This cat began as a Pine log. Deep in the forest grew a Pine tree that knew it would one day become a cat... Okay, dramatic introduction aside.. haha :) I made this cat carving using primarily a chainsaw. I used a couple of hand tools to help detail the face, but the rest was done using a chainsaw. I finished this piece with acrylic paint and polyurethane.

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.
I know that, as a customer, you expect a certain level of control over the custom process and I, as an artist, expect a certain level of freedom. When we are able to meet in the middle, beautiful things can happen :)
Don't be afraid to message me :) Thanks so much!
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
